How do you follow your heart?
This is the hard part
since there is no map or chart.
How do you recognize lies?
How do you know what is wise?
Can you spot sin in disguise?
Do you know who is sincere?
Is your judgement clear?
Or is it muddled by fear?
Substitute love for tears.
Separate desire from deeds.
Jesus planted the seeds.
This is an example of some of my old poetry.I don`t want to deter anyone from reading my stuff or posting their own poems as comments.This is an open forum.If you want to talk about anything,leave a poem for anyone to read, or perhaps even tell a joke or two that is what this blog is for.You can discuss any topic but please refrain from profane language and don`t be too cynical.This place is about expressing yourself…Okay.

We seldom wait,
those of us with selfish hearts,
for the Love ordained to be;
but rush instead to kindled hearths,
where warmth and fuel are free;
and when, in time, lusts interest strays,
its flame soon spent and gone,
our nutured pride in defiance will say
these restless hearts had done no wrong.

Woman wants monogamy;
Man delights in novelty.
Love is woman’s moon and sun;
Man has other forms of fun.
Woman lives but in her lord;
Count to ten, and man is bored.
With this the gist and sum of it,
What earthly good can come of it?
